Experience
I attended Connecticut College and have extensive experience tutoring French at a wide range of skill and grade levels. I have studied French for close to 11 years and I maintain a strong passion for the language, using it in many aspects of my daily life. I currently work in a translating role, building on my time living in Montreal, Quebec. Studies of the Quebec philosophy, personality, and its language are the focus of my academic research and one of my favorite topics in professional and casual conversation as well. I am skilled in North American and European dialects of the French language, and thus very adept at tutoring in this area and building students' overall understanding and talents. I am also strong teaching writing, grammar and mechanics, AP French, and many lower class levels of French. I am presently finishing coursework toward a Bachelor of Arts in Francophone Studies. In addition, I recently earned a DALF-C2 certificate from the French Ministry of Education. My hobbies and interests include the French language, Quebec, history, Harry Potter and Tolkien books, translation, and dialect conversion.
